Seoul

Seoul is the capital of South Korea and a vibrant metropolis loved and visited by people from all over the world.

Filled with stunning cultural heritage and modern landmarks, Seoul is a city where you can experience both Korea's past and present.

Seoul is home to well-preserved palaces from the Joseon Dynasty that are over 600 years old, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace and Jongmyo. Seoul is also the centre of the Korean Wave, which has gained much attention in recent years. Many places have been used as filming locations for major Korean dramas, which have become hugely popular around the world, or are associated with K-pop singers. The museums, art galleries and science centers are also of particular interest, with exhibitions ranging from traditional artefacts to digital art incorporating new technologies.

There's also plenty to do outdoors in Seoul, including Bukhansan National Park, accessible by public transport, and some great bridges and water sports along the Han River.
